Course Overview
Leather is a renewable resource that has been used for millennia when a strong flexible material has been required. It is often used to make covers and storage rolls for woodworking tools. In this course participants will learn two common methods for joining pieces of leather to make useful products. The course will first concentrate on the ‘double needle saddle stitching’ technique. Participants will also learn how to use ‘edge lacing’ which a more decorative joining method. They will complete one or two small projects to take away.
Materials Provided
All required tools, jigs and a small kits of consumable materials will be provided for your use on the day.
What To Bring
An apron to cover clothing, drinks and lunch.
Safety
Please wear sturdy footwear, shoes with leather uppers preferred.
