Hunt Board |
The brief was to create a beautiful and challenging piece for my HSC project using both timber and glass. Traditional joints were used throughout construction. A scratch stock was used to form beading on the lower rail, side panels and back. Knobs were hand turned. To finish the unit, three coats of oil varnish were applied. A final cut with 5,000 grit sandpaper produced a deep gloss finish. American Cherry, Rock Maple, African Blackwood , Queen Ebony, White Birch, Glass. 1332 x 463 x 1015 mm |
