The Workshop

The Association's Workshop is situated at 50A Spring Street, Abbotsford NSW, and is open for Members to book and use between 10am to 4pm on Wednesdays and Sundays. Off-street parking is available in the nearby Quarantine Reserve parking bays (adjacent to the workshop).

The Association has a well equipped Workshop available for members to work on their own projects in the company of other experienced and passionate woodworkers. The Association’s Workshop is in the grounds of the historic Quarantine Reserve at Abbotsford which was where animals brought to Australia were held until proved to be disease free. The grounds are on the shores of the Parramatta River and have barbecue facilities, toilets, and grassed areas.

Tools & Equipment

Members have access to industrial grade and well-maintained woodworking machinery as well as a broad range of custom jigs, clamps and hand tools required for fine woodworking.

Workshop rules

Members need to supply consumables (glue, fixings, sandpaper, blind tongue biscuits, etc) for their own projects.

There must be at least two people present before machinery is used.
You have to be accredited to use the machinery yourself. To use your own power tools, advise the supervisor for that the day before you do.
You must accept and adhere to the Constitution of the Association and Health and Safety policies.
Ear & eye safety equipment (PPE) must be worn when using powered equipment and ear protection must be worn when power equipment is being used.
Where appropriate a suitable dust mask should also be used.
You must wear closed shoes and appropriate clothing.
You must sign the Attendance Sheet whenever you enter the Workshop (required for insurance reasons) and pay a $5- per slot fee.

Click on the available dates below to make your booking. You're welcome to book as many slots as you need, however, please only book the sessions you need.

Each Workshop session has a maximum of 4 participants per slot.
Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance.

The Workshop is only available to members.

Please bring a $5- per slot cash fee on the day of your booking.
